U14 Hurling

U14 Hurling
On Friday evening the U14 Hurlers played Adare in a Challenge game in Harty Park in very sunny conditions. The big crowd who watched were treated to a fantastic game of Hurling with skills on show from both sides that any Senior Hurler would be proud of, there is no doubt the future of both clubs is in safe hands if this game is anything to go by. The Adare side were a very big and physical side compared to the home team but skill trumps size as was proven by our lads especially Euan Sheridan who was immense in the corner back position. Sean O Brien kept the centre back position solid and never put a foot wrong all night and midfielders Michael Ryan and Johnny Kelly put on a exhibition of fielding and never say die attitude while up front Calum Ryan was very impressive. The heart of the team again was the most impressive feature as with the U15s the night before they never gave up on anything and pegged back a lead that the Adare boys had built up. The final score on the night was Adare 3-5 Murroe Boher 3-4 with Michael Ryan chalking up a fantastic 3-3 of our final tally.
