Senior Hurling County League

On Saturday evening last Patrickswell were the visitors to Boher in the County Hurling League and in sunny but windy condition they left with the points on a scoreline of 2-17 to 0-16. The teams had many changes from when they met a few weeks previous in the county championship due to involvement with county panels and the loss of players to J1s for the summer but those who turned up were treated to a fine game of Hurling. The game started off well with points being scored in quick succession by both teams with Seanie Tobin ,Darren Dunlea and Aaron Kennedy on target for Murroe Boher but then the Well struck for a goal which gave the visitors a bit of breathing space but our lads kept plugging away and with three points from Seanie and three from the impressive Aaron Kennedy on the wing the lads trailed by four at the break 1-11 to 0-10. The second half started stronger for the boys and they really got stuck into the Well and with two points from Seanie Tobin the gap was down to two but as everyone knows the Patrickwell team are dangerous and always a threat at goal and sure enough the goal came and a few points in quick succession to kill off the game. It was a good performance from our lads but they know they still have plenty work to do as there is a lot of young players in the senior panel and they are still getting used to the demands of Senior hurling
