U21 A Hurling Final

Murroe/Boher took on a highly fancied Tory Gaels side (Croom/Crecora/Manister) last Saturday evening in the County U21A Hurling Final. Like their previous 2 matches, the South final and County semi final, Tory Gaels were fast out of the blocks and raced into a 0-09 to 0-03 lead. M/B had plenty of chances but couldn’t find the goalposts with poor striking. Late on in the first half M/B raised 2 white flags to leave it Tory Gaels 0-09 M/B 0-05 at half time.
Tory Gaels fired over the first point of the second half before M/B eventually knuckled down and found some form. M/B banged a goal and then points were exchanged to leave it Tory Gaels 0-12 M/B 1-08 with 9 minutes remaining. After great battling and teamwork M/B worked a point with the last puck of the game to force a replay in Clarina on Saturday May 9th at 7pm.
Final score Tory Gaels 0-12 M/B 1-09
Management and players would like to thank the huge crowd that turned out from the parish. The vocal support and encouragement was greatly received and was a massive help in achieving the draw.
