Murroe/Boher 3-12  Cappamore 0-13

Having not played in the league stages, M/B strangely found themselves in a playoff with Cappamore, with the winner to face South Liberties in the East u21 A Hurling Final.

Minutes later after great work by Darragh Kennedy, Karl Cusack fired a rocket into the top corner. A Jack Casey point followed to leave the score M/B 2-01 to 0-00. A futher period of dominance yielded 5 wides in tricky wind conditions. Cappamore found their way into the game through their deadly accurate freetaker. John Ryan made 2 vital saves but M/B only added 1 further point in the remaining 21 minutes to leave it M/B 2-02 Cappamore 0-06 at the interval. Whatever was said at half time, M/B started firing on all cylinders in the second half. Defence and midfield began to dominate and sent a good supply of ball into the forwards. Points by Eoin Tuohy, Jack Casey and Karl Cusack and a cracking goal by Kevin Clohessy saw M/B pull away. Cappamores freetaker was on song as was Kevin Clohessy on M/B frees and they kept the scoreboard ticking over. Eoin Tuohy had the last point of the game and sent M/B into the East final.
