East u21 Championship

On Sunday captain Mike Dee led the Murroe Boher u21 hurlers onto the pitch in Boher for their first East u21 championship match of 2015.
Both teams started well trading points, mainly frees by Kevin Clohessy and Darragh Kennedy before Eoin Tuohy slotted over to put 2 between them. Shane Egan moved to full forward and began to cause chaos inside. Our backs were very tight as a unit and with Kevin Clohessy adding a few more points, halftime read
M/B 0-09 Pallasgreen 0-05
Superb point from Darragh Kennedy shortly after the restart set the tone for the second half. Karl Cusacks goal deflated Pallasgreen and M/B upped the tempo. Points from Eoin Tuohy and Karl Cusack along with frees from Kevin Clohessy and Darragh Kennedy left it 1-14 to 0-08 with minutes remaining. Pallas pointed again but our puckout made it’s way to Eoin Hourigan who was fouled on the 21. With the last puck of the game Kevin Clohessy rattled the net to leave it
M/B 2-14 Pallasgreen 0-09
Cillian Byrnes, Finn Hourigan and Darragh Kennedy were outstanding for M/B.
Manager Colin Brouder and selectors Christopher Ryan, William Tobin and Darren Moynihan will be happy with the solid performance but will know that there are lots to improve on.
