U12 Hurling

Murroe Boher 3-6 Scarriff/Ogonnelloe 3-3
Our U12 hurlers continued on their winning ways with a hard fought win against a very good Scarriff/Ogoennelloe side in tough conditions down in St Anne’s School field in Killalloe on Thursday evening. Under instructions from coach Mike Hickey captain Michael Hourigan elected to play against a strong wind in the first half and it took a massive effort from our defense to take us to half time only 2 points down on a score of 3-3 to 3-1 with our goals coming from Michael Ryan Jack O Carroll and Michael Hourigan.
The wind at our backs in the second half we started to get a grip on the game and with our halfback line and midfield delivering good ball into our forwards we picked off some lovely points from Jack O Carroll and Michael Ryan. This was another good performance from a very hard working team who will now contest the Shannon Challenge Cup Final on this Sunday at 12.30pm at the Ballina GAA pitch. We will play the winners of Mungret and Ballina.
