Jim Commons Memorial Tournament

The annual Jim Commons Tournament was a huge sucess and as can be seen below from the results with draws and one point wins this was a very evenly balanced tournament with outstanding quality on show for u10 hurlers. A huge thanks to the players coaches and parents from all the clubs also a massive thanks to Majella, Carina, Des, Dave, Annmarie and Delphine for running the barbeque on the day also to our referees Eoghan and Dylan. The continued support of PJ Holmes and Reales Butchers is very much appreciated by everyone in the Bord Na nOg. A huge amount of work was done behind the scenes by Ray Ryan, Ollie Foley and Rory Moylan to get this tournament underway and this work was acknowledged by the very positive feedback from the visiting teams who were very impressed with the organisation. The real praise though must go to our players who were outstanding on the day. The Player of the Tournament was won by a player from Eire Og Nenagh but he was run very close by Joe Shanahan, Euan Sheridan and Liam Quaid. The future of the club is looking very positive with these players developing nicely every day they take to the field.
