A new initiative in ladies football will take place next week at Boher pitches when the Murroe/Boher LGFC will run its own Gaelic football camp for girls aged 6-14 from the parish and surrounding areas. This camp will introduce the game of football to girls in a fun filled action packed week of activities under the guidance of Mary Beades, the former Munster Development Officer for the Ladies football. Mary is widely recognised as one of the foremost coaches in ladies football and has run camps and training courses at all level within the ladies Gaelic football association. 32 girls are already confirmed for the camp where beginners and experienced players are most welcome. If anyone wants to partake, even at this stage, the Club will facilitate. Girls that have already booked will be issued with club crested gear, but if anyone wants to try out the camp for the 4 days you can do so at a camp onl cost of 30 euro. It will not be possible to provide gear at this late stage but anyone wishing to have 4 days of fun and exercise are welcome to join us. Camp runs from 10am to 2-30pm daily from Tuesday to Friday next week. Phone Noel Regan on 086-8109682 before Monday at 4pm to confirm booking.
