The younger of our two u12 teams travelled to Doon on Thursday evening to renew rivalry with the team they had defeated in the final of the Jim Commons Memorial Tournament in 2013. This was a tough close encounter from start to finish with scores very hard to come by as both defences were outstanding on the night. The scores were level 0-1 each at half time with Mikie Kelly who was having his best game ever for Murroe Boher scoring the point. The second half continued in the same vein with both teams giving everything. Alex Considine put us ahead with a fine goal but after failing to convert a couple of chances we allowed Doon to come back to score a late goal and a point to steal the match. All in all a good performance and we hope for plenty more to come from this fine young team. Those who played well were Liam Quaid in goals, Jay Ryan and Stephen Moore in the full back line and centre back Cillian O Shea who is improving with every game.
